Bachelor of Engineering in Smart Agriculture Technologies

Program Description

The Bachelor of Agricultural Smart Technologies Engineering program at Alnoor University is a specialized academic and engineering program aimed at preparing engineers with the knowledge and skills needed to apply modern technologies in developing the agricultural sector. It integrates agricultural engineering with artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), agricultural robotics, remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and big data analytics. This contributes to increasing productivity, improving resource efficiency, and achieving sustainability and food security.

      • Preparing engineers specialized in smart agriculture technologies who possess a strong scientific and engineering foundation.
      • Developing skills in the design and development of intelligent systems used in agricultural production.
      • Training students to use artificial intelligence technologies and data analytics in managing agricultural operations.

Bachelor of Science in Smart Agriculture Engineering Technology (B.Sc.)

  • Level 6 of the Iraqi National Qualifications Framework (INQF), or its equivalent, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Students are admitted in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the approved admission regulations. 

Requirements for the Award of the Bachelor's Degree:

  • Completion of all required credit hours.
  • Successful completion of all courses.
  • Commitment to university regulations and instructions.
  • Completion of the field training requirements, if applicable.

Prior learning or coursework completed at recognized educational institutions may be credited in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Alnoor University.

Program Coordinator of the Bachelor of Science in Smart Agriculture Engineering Technology Program

The program coordinator is responsible for supervising the implementation of the study plan, monitoring the achievement of learning outcomes, and ensuring program quality. They also develop curricula to keep pace with the latest advancements in smart agriculture engineering, precision agriculture, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, remote sensing, modern agricultural technologies, and related fields. In addition, they coordinate among faculty members and students, oversee laboratories, field applications, and practical training, and ensure compliance with academic accreditation requirements and quality assurance policies at Alnoor University.
